Our Charities of the Year

Fosse is very excited to be taking on a ten mile walk, as well as other activities, to raise a £10k target for our chosen charities of the year – Cauda Equina Syndrome Charity and Age UK.

Both these charities do such fantastic work in the local community. Cauda equina syndrome can affect anyone and can leave ordinary fit and well people in a very bad way if the signs of the condition are missed. The Cauda Equina Syndrome Charity educates doctors who often miss vital signs of this condition.

Age UK is also a very worthwhile charity, providing emotional and financial support to older members of our community who are often alone and isolated. Fosse is very proud to support both these charities, and hope we achieve our target.

We’ve already had our Summer Drinks Reception at The City Rooms, where we raised a good amount of money, and hope to do the same at our Christmas Ball.

Last year Fosse raised £10k for Leicester Royal Infirmary’s Children and Young People’s Cancer Unit through a ten mile walk and various fundraisers throughout the year – read all about this here.
